My wife Gabrielle and I had been looking at getting a motor home custom built for a few years when we came across the team at ACM at a motor home show in 2018. We needed the custom build as Gabrielle is confined to a wheelchair following a car accident many years ago and there is no way that a standard motor home would suit us.

After making enquiries we were steered towards ACM by people in the trade who commented about ACM’s quality workmanship and ability to think outside the square. Whereas we had met some negativity with other manufacturers the ACM team showed a can do mentality and accepted our draft design plans and ideas with an attitude that said “we’ll make it work”.

Working together we came up with a floor plan that more than satisfies our wishes. During the build stage we were welcomed into the workshop at any time to view progress and make any changes we thought would work for us. We were surprised at the amount of engineering and certification that went into reconfiguring the chassis for the cassette wheelchair lift and the slideout. This made us thankful we had chosen a firm with the technical knowhow and ability to achieve this.

We have now used the motor home many times since delivery and it is probably true to say that it, easily, more than meets our expectations. The team at ACM take great pride in their work and this is evident in the excellent build quality of the motorhome.

Another factor to mention is that ACM operated on a fixed price basis which didn’t change, even though some of the variations were not originally allowed for. We would have no hesitation in recommending Chris and his team to anyone considering building a new motor home and just so thankful that we chose ACM for our own build.
